Bobby Cox took our Braves to levels we had not known for years and years. If you watched our boys in the late 60’s and 70’s you knew pain and embarrassment. Torre contributed.

Snit is a product of Cox. A hard wired, career driven Brave for many years now which I appreciate.

We can bitch about all the decisions and ultimate failures in hindsight but here is my question for all those who care to opine:

Assuming you have talent on the staff which
we all know we do, what major decisions IN GAME do you make as a manager?

He sets the pitchers on rotation. He sets the batting order based on lefty/righty and history against certain pitchers.

He decides when starting pitchers need to be allowed to pitch or be pulled. Bullpen use has to be taken into account.

The longer a starter stays the better but sometimes at cost. That is the question for me.

The second most important question is who he pulls from the bullpen when many of ours aren’t up to the talent level we have had in the past. That goes back to my original post in this thread.

I think it’s easy to bitch about Snit which some is justified but without talent we have had recently I don’t blame him.
