Need some opinions from the fine folks on this board about 3/4 ton trucks.
Currently driving a 2024 Tundra TRD Pro and absolutely love it. However, the damn thing only has 1300lbs of payload. This is causing issues as the wife really wants a camper and there’s basically nothing I can tow that’ll comfortably fit a family of 4 without going over payload. Also makes getting everything up to elk and deer camp a bitch as I’m sure I’m overloaded once the ATV goes in the bed.
So, looking specifically at a GMC 2500 Sierra AT4X with the 6.6L V8 gasser. Have heard that diesels are just way too expensive to fix nowadays and the gassers are almost as good for the occasional towers like myself.
Anyone have any strong opinions one way or another on the newer Ford, Chevy, & GMC HD trucks? Reliability, performance, quality, etc.
Thanks y’all.
