Maybe I’m the only one. Probably not, but college football is becoming more like the NFL every year.
NIL - Why should my tax paying dollars go to a kid, who is more or less academically ineligible to attend UGA without an athletic scholarship, get paid on top of a free education! That includes food, dorms, tutors, and a degree from the University of Georgia.
Transfer Portal - On top of the NIL, now, this kid can just up and out because he’s not getting enough playing time is his true freshman season? What happened to being a graduate transfer and the specific limitations on where you could transfer to?
I think there needs to be a feeder league for the NFL, similar to what the NBA has done, that these kids can go to, and get paid, and go straight to the NFL. Don’t ruin college football.
We’re going to be looking up in 5-10 years and CFB will be unrecognizable.
