I just talked with 2026 RB Carsyn Baker, who received an offer from UGA after ending his junior season at Langston Hughes. Baker was at a bowl practice on Friday when position coach Josh Crawford came up and met his family. He extended the offer to the new Rivals150 prospect on the spot. It was a "pretty cool moment" for Baker. He said that he's been waiting for the Bulldogs' offer for a long time. The staff wanted to see his entire junior tape before offering him, and he felt like his hard work paid off. Baker is originally from Milledgeville and played at John Milledge Academy for former Georgia fullback J.T. Wall. I covered him as a freshman for the Baldwin Bulletin newspaper in 2022**. He said he moved to Langston Hughes to get more exposure, which paid off. However, he is a Baldwin County kid "at heart" and loves Georgia because of Javon Bullard. Baker is a big, powerful back. Georgia likes his speed and durability. He carried the load for Langston Hughes this year. He's more of a bruiser than a scatback, but he wants to improve his ability to catch balls out of the backfield. Georgia has cemented itself in a good place for Baker. He looks to get back to campus soon and develop more of a relationship with Crawford. He's a name to watch in the next year.
