Thanks to Rivals national analyst Adam Friedman for getting the interview, but here are a few notes from Jared Curts' interview with reporters:

  • Curts, who committed to Georiga on March 23, is 'locked in' with the Bulldogs. He recently visited USC, and the Georgia staff knew about it. They encouraged him to go, but he didn't back down on the Bulldogs.
  • Curtis was in Athens for the scavenger hunt and returned for a weekend in June. He talked with Kirby Smart, Mike Bobo, and Montgomery VanGorder during both trips. He chose Georgia because of the relationships with the coaches, the stability of the program, and the development. Curtis believes that when he arrives in Athens, Smart, Bobo, and VanGorder will still be there, helping the program succeed.
  • Curtis wants to be a Bulldog. Badly. However, he knows he has a year and a half until he signs, so right now, he's focused on helping build that 2026 class with recruits such as Savion Hiter and Derrek Cooper.
  • During a recent trip, Curtis spent time with Bobo and current freshman quarterback Ryan Puglisi. The three of them broke down film, and he loves learning from Bobo. Curtis said the staff compares him to Puglisi, who is now trying to learn the offense. Curtis enjoyed breaking down plays with Bobo and Puglisi. That film session also gave Curtis a good idea of what he will go through when he finally gets to campus.
