If we can run the ball effectively and set up play action -- Gunner (or Pugs) will be just fine. The problem is that there is no evidence at this time that will happen.

- The Dawgs could not run the ball at all last year.
- Our pass blocking started off the year pretty well -- but once it was established we could not run block -- teams started pinning their ears back and bringing every blitz imaginable.
- Notre Dame killed us with the Wide-9 rush last year. Freeling could not handle it. He was absolutely stumped.
- We will see it all year until we learn to stop it.
- SS can be blamed (of course) but we had an experienced line last year. The communication between the lineman was piss poor and -- at times -- so was the effort.
