Yesterday, we reviewed WR recruiting since 2020, today we will look at OL recruiting.
2020
Austin Blaske
Devin Willock
Sedrick Van Pran
Chad Lindberg
Tate Ratledge
Brod Jones
Really good class. Jones was great at UGA and was a 1st round NFL pick. Van Pran and Tate have both been stalwarts at UGA (altough Tate has battle injuries).
Willock was a big contributor before his tragic death. Blaske was good depth before transferring. Lindberg was really the only non-contributor.
2021
Amarius Mims
Jared Wilson
Dylan Fairchild
Micah Morris
Another really good class. A first round pick and all four guys have been significant contributors.
2022
Earnest Greene
Drew Bobo
Aliou Bah
Jacob Hood
Griffin Scroggs
One starter, one back up and then yikes
2023
Jamal Merriweather
Monroe Freeling
Kelton Smith
Joshua Miller
Bo Hugley
Probably still too earlier to truly judge this class, but Freeling is the only one contributing at this point as a backup.
The 2022 class was largely a disaster. But the 2020 and 2021 classes were really solid (only one miss out of 10 signees).
We had a pretty great run of some elite level college OTs (Thomas, Wilson, Brod Jones, Mims) that we seemingly haven't been able to replicate since signing Mims. Hugley and Freeling were both Top 100 type guys so hopefully they can grow into that.
