I am going to do quick hitters so it isn't too much of a novel -

- Memphis may be the worst city with a major pro sports franchise in the nation. It is like a Detroit of the Deep South. Beale St is a joke, downtown is a big nothing and the city doesn't seem to have changed anything since 1955 in terms of growth, infrastructure or architecture. This place is literally where Elvis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and BB King either got their starts, grew up or recorded their early and best albums. You'd think they would be printing money marketing all of that.

-The ribs are overrated. Got a local recommendation to Cosy Corner as being better and less of a tourist trap than Redezvous, but it was just okay. Nothing special.

-Huey's downtown is just a dive bar or average burger restaurant in most cities, here it is the greatest place ever. Not bad, but nothing amazing.

-The Bass Pro Shops pyramid is the best thing about the city. The observation deck is pretty cool. Having an enormous bass pro shops in a pyramid with gigantic catfish in a river flowing through is something else.

-Airport was nearly deserted the entire weekend. Some told me it was a busy weekend there. That is incredible since there were maybe five cars dropping people off and zero traffic getting in and out of it. That is a luxury I must admit. Went to a bar there where they were out of every canned beer (they had 10+ on the menu} and only 3 on tap (3 others were out as well). However, they did have a scan menu on the bar where you could order. One of two places told us about this, the other one didn't let us know.

-Ole Miss is extremely convenient to park in and walk around. I think the whole thing is about the size of North Campus and the stadium. Everything is a ten minute walk away. Was warned about parking, but if you can walk a mile, you can get anywhere on campus fast.

-Grove was pretty cool. the weather didn't help, but we are lucky it wasn't a quagmire. they weren't as friendly nor as welcoming as I'd heard, but they weren't aggressive either. Maybe because we were covered up in ponchos.

-Talent there is and has always been overrated. A handful of lookers, but mostly average.

-They had to have allowed in a few thousand more fans than the capacity. It was packed in the seats, but there were thousands underneath walking through their very narrow concourse.

-They were clearly juiced for this game. Amazing they took it lying down for Alabama for decades, but suddenly were absolutely lit for us. I asked a few, and LSU is a much bigger rival for them than Alabama, which is hilarious considering Bama grads run the league and have been screwing Ole Miss for a long time.

-Their fans were either completely silent almost all game or incredibly obnoxious and rude. They seem to have the Alabama disease of allowing C students from other parts of the country in who do not understand nor fit into the culture in the SEC. Some very rude and ignorant kids.

-Stadium is nice and compact. They made noise and were active, but the fireworks. loud music, lightning and PA were non stop. They have to do this for two reasons - to keep the fans from losing interest and to make the stadium more intimidating than the fans' noise does. The constant lights flashing, fireworks and loud music was way too much. The SEC needs to step up on tamping down on this stuff. The fireworks smoke stalling the game was unfortunate at best.

-They pointed to this game all year and executed on it. They owe the SEC a thank you card for scheduling Ole Miss between UF and Tenn. What an absolute corrupt disaster the SEC is. There is not even an attempt at being impartial or fair to its members regardless of how much money or eyeballs we bring in.

-Fire Bobo. We cannot blame this all on Carson who was a top 5 pick coming into the season.
