Watched 3 full games worth the last 36 hours on OM, Arky, LSU, and OU were the ones I chose. Arky because of the gaudy stat line, LSU because they lost and LSU is a k mart version of our roster, and OU because they’re awful but how they scheme D is somewhat translatable to some things we will try. Looks different but they try and create the same confusion and chaos.

Let’s start with their offense. It is a system that is built with rules and checkdowns. They’re highly average at receiver. I know, Harris went for 240 and Lee 125. Arkansas is just pitiful on that side of the ball outside Landon Jackson. Their DB’s were in phase for most of the yardage. Just didn’t make plays. They feast on easy man wins, if it’s zone, dart is a robot. We will turn him over no less than 2 times.

Their OL is BAD, like Clemson bad. They can’t pass block anything straight 5 on 5 and keep guys in the same spots. Their RG tips every play presnap. He telegraphs their counter trap and 6 of their 8 passing plays based on where he’s lined up. If I can deduct that, our staff is going to melt them. He lines up anchored with his butt 4 feet further towards Dart than everyone else. Because their LT sucks they don’t leave him 1v1, they have him kick down and play Guard and send the RG all the way to his spot to pull and fan the backside, that dude doesn’t have a warm chance in hell of getting 11, 10, 13, 32, 93, etc blocked running across the formation like that. Lane may have to scrap that vs us and they can’t block us 1v1.

Our DL vs their OL is a GROSS mismatch to our favor. They’re bad at back, nobody that scares you. Biggest running threat is Dart by a lot. 8, the VT transfer from Perry is their best weapon in the passing game by a good bit. He’s 6’4 230 jumbo slot/TE hybrid. It’s not Harris, Lee, or Wells albeit they’re solid. The system doesn’t stand much of a shot vs our group. I can call the plays or narrow them to 2 options. Schu and Kirby will be owed Father’s Day cards from Lane.

Defensively they’re archaic and simple. They don’t do anything exotic or fancy. They play a 4-2-5 or a 3-2-6. They play Robber, cover 2, cover 3, and cover 0. There are no exotic blitz packages, it’s just slants and stunts and 4 dudes rushing the passer that sometimes turns into 5. Everything is static presnap, they do not disguise coverages. Where homie is lined up is where he’s instructed to be. I don’t think anyone is doing less with more than Golding.

Their DL is highly average outside of Nolen who is the goods. But he’s going to be in 1 of 2 places and he’s 1 guy. They do not have depth behind him. Theyre shit at LB too. Chris Paul is ok and scrappy but they’re small and unathletic.

We will able to move the ball in short to intermediate chunks at will and to the perimeter at will. Their DL will fade into a weakness for them first half. They do not have the goons. The offense is 1 big system and they have exactly 0 force multipliers on that side, Dart is a poor man’s version of Klubnik. What has caused his raw box score totals to improve this year will get him killed Saturday. Kirby and Schu will break every one of Lane’s rules and force him to live off instincts. He’s got 0 football sense and is dumb as a box of rocks and will implode,

We roll by 2-3 scores and it won’t be that close. They have 6-7 guys who play here and that’s it. That’s not dismissing others talent. This 1 was never going to be close. OM is just a very average football team.
