we separated ourselves from Kentucky...

We don't play big boy football...and I have no idea when we will...

Alabama plays big boy football and last year OSt waxed them...

I just think that the defense is improving...we still need some dominate type DL/LB to have a dominate front 7

So my only beef is 2 things...The offense needs to get out of the prostyle and become more creative and wide open...I mean geez...watching yesterday was like watching a track meet with all the throwing...

And after also witnessing many coaches ride the emotion and elevate their teams emotional psyche..we have none of that from MR because of his calmness and "passive " personality type...

I really ain't got any suggestions...we are what we are..a mid level program...

I don't understand why "calmness" = "passive" and why a calm demeanor is a negative quality in a great leader.

I can't imagine, in the midst of battle, George Washington, Robert E. Lee, John Pershing, or Dwight Eisenhower getting emotional, barking at their subordinates, and generally going ape. George Patton certainly could and did, but I would submit that Patton represents the exception rather than the rule. I have read many stories of Douglas MacArthur standing tall and walking calmly in the face of live fire while his troops hit the deck.

I can say from personal experience that I had greater confidence in a commander who was cool under fire than I did in a commander who lost his shit when things looked bad. YMMV.

Maybe our definitions of emotions are different...I'm not speaking of going ape, barking, losing their shit when things go bad.. but I am talking about motivating emotions and firing a team up and riding on it .. not getting into someone's grill and chewing their face off constantly...maybe you misunderstood and don't understand the difference. Being calm and passive is MR's personality and the team plays that way far too often...whereas many other teams with a motivating excited coach that can channel those emotions at the appropriate time seem to play that way...that's all I was a sayin my friend...I saw MR throw his headset...when we got a 12 men on the field penalty...yet on countless times with late hits out of bounds and senseless PF penalties...he doesn't respond...anyway ..it was my observation of separation Saturday and I'm grateful to be ahead of Vandy, SC, Mizzu, and Kentucky...on the west side we might be ahead of Miss St and A&M...maybe...
