I am not sure what the issue is but he has to find a way to start quicker in these games. He seems way too amped up and erratic when the game starts.
For example, last night after the coin toss but before kickoff, Carson was throwing the ball on the sideline about 10-15 yards to get warmed up and almost every ball was above the WR head and the guy was having to stretch to catch it. These are literally just pitch and catch warm up passes and he was throwing them too high which is why I wasn’t surprised he struggled to start. By comparison, when he came out to warm up in the second half and was doing the same throwing routine he was hitting guys right in the chest.
I know that’s just a small example but he needs to find a way to settle into the game faster. I almost wonder if taking deep shots earlier would help him more than all the short passes do.
