Zombies will come for us one day, and I for one plan to be prepared. First I will rate the NETGEAR GS-308 on its primary function: providing network connectivity in your home, office, or compound. In that regard, the GS-308 gets high marks. I've used unmanaged switches in my underground bunker for about 7 years. I swapped out my trusty TRENDnet 8-Port Unmanaged Gigabit switch with this one for the purposes of testing. I found no difference in data transfer speeds between the two switches. When transferring my vast archive of pornographic videos from one computer to another, I averaged 69-75MBs transfer speeds. The bottleneck was the hard drives writing the data, not the switch. It's good to know that while I'm waiting for all of the weaklings to die off above ground, I will be safe in my personal bunker with enough entertainment and boxes of Kleenex to keep me happy for a very, very long time.
