Only three times has a UGA "True" Quarterback finished in the top ten in Heisman Trophy voting...
I say "True" because players like Frank Sinkwich and Charley Trippi threw the ball quite often, but they were never really the quarterback
... Many people complain on how the voting is done... it is generally the team's quarterback or running back from the best team
(however Stetson wasn't in the top ten last season) and the voting is prior to the bowl games, so they did not see a certain Alabama quarterback play un-heisman like.
what is also a surprise is that Georgia quarterbacks like David Greene, D.J. Shockley, Matthew Stafford and Aaron Murray never finished in the top ten as well
The only three times that a "True" quarterback from Georgia has ever finished in the top ten of the Heisman Trophy voting
were in
1976 with Ray Goff - 7th place
1993 with Eric Zeier - 10th place
1994 with Eric Zeier - 7th place
I think Stetson will be at least the best one in terms of finish
