I've promised my kids I'd produce a depth chart for us in Excel.
When I think of the defense, I only know these positions:
Nose Guard
Tackle
End
Inside Linebacker
Outside Linebacker
Corner
Safety
But then I hear CKS mention 'Will' and 'Star'. Is he not referring to the 'Weak' outside linebacker and the 'Strong' outside linebacker? Meaning the side of the TE?
Aren't 'Will' and 'Star' just 'outside linebackers'?
Would an 'inside' linebacker ever line up as a 'Will' or a 'Star'?
What are the defensive positions we utilize if you were trying to draw up a depth chart?
