at one end of the spectrum is the SB all of us hope he will be…..more polished, more accurate, more consistent, no bonehead mistakes, all because he has last year’s experience; has taken all of the number one QB snaps in practice; he led a great come from behind fourth quarter victory vs UA to win the national championship. This is the improved SB we all hope for and kind of expect to see.
But at the other end of the spectrum is the SB that we saw at times last season…..inconsistent, inaccurate passes too often, bonehead mistakes with fumbles, bobbles, losing the football inextricably. Even with all of these mistakes and inconsistencies, we still rallied to defeat UA and win the NC. The D last year was a historically strong D, one that kept us in the game and able to overcome a lot of mistakes on O. This year’s D will be good, but I don’t think it will be able to do what last year’s D did. We need the new and improved SB this season. He has to be at his best for us to go all the way. The O has to be the main thing this year…..SB has to be the leader of the band.
