Better idea for OT format?

Place the ball on the 50, and give the offense 2:30.
Then give the other team the same set up.
Repeat until someone wins.

Advantages

1 - The offense doesn't start already in scoring position
2 - Dueling two-point conversion tries is not football. It's for 7-on-7 tournaments with guys in shorts.
3 - Football is meant to have a clock.
4- No need to walk all the way to the other end zone after each two-point-try period.

This is Josh Pate's suggestion, and I think it makes a lot of sense.
