I'm not a big fan of Pete Rose, but I can't see how the game is served

by excluding him. Just seems silly at this point. He's never going to coach again anyway.

exactly - that's all this is about, and its going to happen eventually

anyway. I get the impression that he isn't the most popular guy out there with former players, teammates, reporters, etc. As a matter of fact, he has the reputation for being quite a dooosh. But a dooosh that got on base a lot and that probably should be in the hall of fame ahead of plenty of guys that are already there.
