6 in a row lost. That just stings. But we were close... but were we? And even if we were, “You are what your record says you are” - Bill Parcells.

Here are the cold hard facts: no one that played for Florida today was there when Todd Golden took over. In his second year, that entire team is made up of his recruits. Same as Mike White, except for Jabri. Florida's freshmen were better than our freshmen. Their transfers were better than our transfers. Their roster is more properly constructed between bigs and guards. Maybe Florida has more NIL money. Maybe they were able to cash in on more basketball tradition at their school. Maybe their staff is doing better than our staff. I don't have the right answers, but we are 0-4 against Todd Golden since he has been at Florida. Florida has won the last 7 of their 8 games, while we have lost the last 7 of 8 of ours.

Our game plan to start the day was excellent. We worked the ball inside to Tchewa and he was dominating. Then Noah Thomasson goes nuts. Thomasson with 17 points and half and Tchewa with 10. We shot 60% in the 1st half but were only up by 6 at half.

In the second half, Florida immediately hits two threes and we were knotted up. We went 10 minutes in the 2nd half without scoring a field goal. We were able to survive because we were getting to the foul line and converting, but Florida was able to keep us at arms length the rest of the way.

We gave up 88 points. At our house. We grind it out for points on the offensive end and it feels like we are giving up easy ones on the other end. It feels like the same story that keeps getting repeated over and over each game.

Coach Mike White made some adjustments and did some good things today. It just isn't enough. Other coaches and teams in our conference are doing more.

Regular season ends in 3 weeks from today. Portal season will immediately follow. Mike White and staff need this off-season to be absolutely on point.

Shoutout to Noah Thomasson, he was truly special today.
