Not what we wanted. But also, not horrible either. There are some things we can really take away from this one. I'll look into the game and also give my overall thoughts.

1st Half
The dawgs were swarming on defense and absolutely playing their hearts out on D and on the glass. Shots were not falling really for either team (UGA was 2 for 12 from deep, Marquette was 5 for 15). It felt like a heavyweight fight and Marquette needed a 3 at the buzzer to go up by 1 at the break. SIlas was able to get to the foul line and also hit a couple of runners in the lane to keep us right there.

2nd half
Marquette came out and took it to us on offense and defense to start the half. By the 12:55 mark we had only scored 5 points and the we were down 15. Offense was really sputtering. Blue and Leffew then start throwing them in from deep and get us right back in it (they hit 6 threes combined in the 2nd half). Problem is, Marquette ended up matching them with 6 threes as well in the 2nd half. SIlas had 2 points and 5 turnovers in the 2nd half alone. He had some moments, but overall a rough day for him. Point guard finsihing with 8 turnovers is never okay and he was also 3 for 10 from the field.

Player Thoughts
Asa is an absulute freak - If you weren't able to watch the game, you might look at the boxscore and see 9 points and 6 boards and think he was bad today. Far from it. He changes everything about our team and when we play good teams like today and he is not in there it is a HUGE deal. He kills himself out there every game defending, rebounding, and just making plays. He is everything you want in someone wearing the G.
Tyrin Lawrence - He has been completely rejuvenated in Athens. Saw him at the end of last year and felt like he had kind of checked out. What he is doing on defense is unreal. Another three steals today. Kid can absolutely finish at the rim.
Cyril - Pretty much a non-factor today. We ended up having to play smaller with James and Godfrey due to what I guess was Cyril not able to step out and gaurd the perimeter and our lack of offense.

We are going to be fine. We are so gifted physically and play so hard that we will always have a chance. The concerning part is our two shooters shot it well and we still weren't able to hang. Our guards have to figure out how to hold onto the ball (team had 18 turnovers). Also, Marquette aint too shabby at all.

Side note: I love our baseline out of bounds plays. Our best offense comes from that. Whatever coach is in charge of that for us, is legit. Been noticing this for a couple pf years with us.
