I agree with most of what you say re: media and taking stuff too seriously. I will admit....Biden stepped in it and Harris now has to play defense. Like she threw a pick on the first play after a big turnover. It's infuriating to watch honestly. Like neither team wants to take control and win the game.
However...in my opinion, you can't depict republicans as "life goes on if trump loses" type people when we have evidence to support the contrary. You're doing exactly what you claim is wrong with the media: being biased. That's what i mean by establishing moral high ground; it's just not accurate. By saying "we" you lumped yourself into that category. That's all.
I'm not backtracking anything. Bidens comments (at least how they are being portrayed) are directly focused on one group of people who wouldn't be voting for Harris anyway ("his supporters" arent Harris voters; you could make an argument he said "supporter's", it's weak but you could if you listen to the context of the discussion).
The PR comments (now associated with trump), in my opinion, may have a greater impact given that a) PR/Latino voters are usually late cycle/election day voters and b) no matter what, MAGA just isn't voting for Harris, so even without the garbage comment she likely isn't losing many votes (though I admit it will cost them some).
I will say this....in the political ecosphere, they are both "ungood" comments and both parties have to play defense now instead of offense. Which is not where you want to be 6 days out...
