QB rules are becoming a competitive advantage for offenses

With qbs that are 6’4 and 230 pounds, the rules to protect them are giving the offenses too much of a competitive advantage…defenses are slowing down before contact and this gives the qb time to throw or an advantage when scrambling…we have seen fake slides, fake going out of bounds and many terrible roughing the passer calls that are just good football plays…since we arent going backwards on safety rules they might as well just implement spring training rules of touch being down for quarterbacks…that would even it out for defenses
