My buddy and I are arguing about who hired Searles. I say Kirby hired him, he says Bobo hired him. Who is right? I say no way in hell anybody but Kirby hires anybody in this program. What do you think?

Kirby makes all assistant hires. That is my understanding anyway. As a matter of fact, there has been talk of friction between Bobo and Searles.
Seriously……I don’t think there is ANY facet of UGA football program that Kirby doesn’t make the decision.
My exact point! You can blame Bobo for a lot but hiring Searles is not on him.
I certainly don’t know anything as a certainty- but I would be willing to bet of course Kirby has final say but he would def seek input from the coordinator he hired as to his thoughts and they would be somewhat on same page in making the hire - I would think
I doubt Bobo bored Searels given that A) Kirby makes the hires & B) Bobo isn't a fan of Searels.
I’m not arguing with you or doubting you especially since it was mentioned above searels was hired under monken - but what a half shitty deal if you are in charge of offense and have no real say in a coach as critical as o line coach

Gotcha …if that’s the case then he probably remembers Bobo bringing in Will Friend …..and no doubt I think Kirby would listen to Bobos opinion when hiring back then …..but Kirby made the hire

I highly doubt CMB hired anyone … he was with CMR during Searles first stint so KS may likely have asked CMB for his opinion. Kirby is The Kang for a reason.
