When a player signs with UGA or any other school, whether out of high school or through the portal, how does NIL money actually work?
Just say a player gets 50K to sign with a school. Is that money given up front, made in payments, or incentive based?
Then what happens if that same player transfers to another school with another NIL package. Does the player have to return any part of the money he received on the first NIL deal? Does the new school he is going to have to reimburse the first school? Or does the player get to transfer as many times as he wants and just keep all the money from all his NIL deals? All this crap is crazy to me, just trying to understand. As a CFB fan of 50 years, it looks like the sport is on its way to imploding. Maybe what comes out on the other side will be something more stable.
TIA
