We've seen a few DB's and 1 RB that we had hoped to sign out of high school that are in the portal but we are apparently passing this time around. Is it more of them not developing at their former programs that we don't think they can help or is it possibly not wanting scare off recruits that play the same position just before NSD? I can see how announcing an interest in portal players might hurt recruiting. Likewise, I can see how announcing no interest in a portal player might help cement a recruit or sway one us that is trying to make a final decision.
Question regarding not going after some portal players...
