NonDawg Race and religion…

I am so ashamed of worshipping a middle easterner. It’s my whiteness oozing from my pores.

I will not apologize for the sins of some white folks. Wonder if Joy will apologize for her ancestral relatives selling slaves to European slave traders?

Just trying to play this “your race is bad” thing correctly.

Wonder what type of Christian autocracy MLK wanted?

The phrase is thrown out so often it’s completely lost it’s meaning. But if you want to stare true racism in the face, look in the eyes of Joy Reid. It’s insane how much she loathes white people.
Yep

I think she’s the most vile person on TV. By far.

She’s as misled as she can be…You know how many white Europeans there are in the Bible? The answer is zero. Hard to understand how anyone can use Christianity as the basis for racism.

The Christian autocracy is on its way and there is nothing Joy 🤩 Joy can do about it.

@willdup what do the left leaning, moderate claiming, Biden voting, trump hating political uniks think about her
This question made me think about an answer much longer than the clip should have required. I'll explain.

I don’t agree that the republican party, or all republicans, are committed to creating a white theocracy. Sweeping inflammatory generalizations of such a nature are destructive, divisive and untrue. It is similar to calling all democrats socialists or communists, which only shows a stunning lack of understanding of what those words actually mean.

On MSNBC, I do sometimes watch Nicolle Wallace, Ari Melber and Chris Hayes. I can't stand Joy Reid and this clip is a great example why.

So why did I have to contemplate how to answer this question? Because I do think there are elements in both political parties that have been shockingly radicalized. The clip I posted yesterday of the GOP candidate for senate in Delaware is a great example. She openly and proudly states support for Putin over Ukraine because he shares her values and is a "Christian nationalist" who defends the faith. Never mind that he is a murderous autocrat who just invaded a european country with a democratically elected president and is by any measure not living a christian life.

I'm sorry, but the fact she didn't get booed off the stage and have to leave in shame is a problem and if you find her comments anything but abhorrent, you are a dangerous radical who is not committed to the ideals of our country.

Regarding overt racism in the republican party, I do think it is a growing problem. After many instances of racist comments, Congressman Steve King from Iowa defended the terms "white supremacist" and "white nationalist" as reasonable language. He was eventually stripped of his committee assignments (and lost his last election) but only after a lot of public pressure and outrage. Paul Gosar spoke at a conference last year organized by Nick Fuentes, a known white supremacist and holocaust denier, and he has not seemed to suffer any consequences.

Wendy Rogers, a state senator from AZ but now a national figure because of her loud and frankly crazy statements about the maricopa "stolen" election, has also aligned herself with Fuentes and will be speaking at his conference this year. When Governor Doug Ducey was asked about this yesterday, he said she was still better than having a democrat in office. A white supremacist, who also is totally nuts, is better than having a democrat? You see that statement from a Governor and it should at least give reasonable people something to think about when contemplating the current direction of the republican party.

Much like the continued embrace of the big lie, which everyone but DJT and a few extremist nuts know is a lie, failure to loudly condemn white supremacy for the purpose of political expediency is tacit endorsement and a pandora's box that won't easily be closed. To bring it full circle, Joy Reid's comments are the other side of that coin and should also be roundly condemned. However, if she had cited and discussed some of the specific examples I shared above, and talked about the problem without branding everyone who disagrees with her a racist, I would be been fine with that segment.

They’re just trying to suck as much as they can out of this world before that happens but you’re correct. What’s coming is inevitable.

That is just it will. You are chasing ghosts there. They have no power. And when outed they are dealt with. Yet you worry about white supremacy. We talk about those people as wacko’s or crazy. You put your wackos in office. Or on tv. Then applaud them when they are over the top like this lady. No better than the fbi director who said antifa was an idea. And white supremacy was the real worry on intel. Then he had to come back and say he was wrong. How can someone in his office be that wrong. I ask the same of Biden. Will, he is damn near an 0 for since in office. Not one string he has pulled has worked. It is breathtaking. That unfortunately is why that wacko said at least I am not a democrat. Because everything they touch at the moment turns to shit. Simply. You let your far left wackos rule the day. And they are galatically stupid. This past year has proven this beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Chasing ghosts you say? This is Nick Fuentes, last night, shortly before sitting republican congresswoman from the state of Georgia MTG spoke and the same conference Paul Gossar spoke at last year. The same conference the AZ governor refuses to condemn Wendy Rogers for attending.

They are cheering young white men and cheering Russia and Putin.

There are members of your party, not just refusing to condemn, but actively supporting this avowed white supremacist and anti-semite. Ghosts indeed.

King wasn’t eventually stripped. It was immediate. A far cry from how the Left treats its own. The growing problem of anti-semitism in the country today emanates from the Left. Blacks and “people of color” in particular.

Almost unimaginable violence occurs weekly in places like Chicago by blacks. Most of it against each other. Yet, Lefty media is still laser focused on a guy who has been out of office for 13 months. White supremacy cannot be defended, and I don’t know anyone who does. But, I see daily defense or deflection of the actions of BLM and Antifa by the Left. And there is no mention of political and policy failure when it comes to the problems in places like Chicago and California. Some Lefty coined the sanitized phrase “wealth gap” to justify the illegal acts of the law breakers. But we all know it’s just language to soothe the guilt, so they can get back to important and ever necessary business of trashing Trump ASAP to try to resurrect crashing Nielsen numbers.

I also recall a certain bumbling, demented fool recently proclaim that any black who doesn’t vote for him isn’t black. Yet, that idiot was allegedly elected. And to rub salt in the wound, he pursues policies and nominates people based on skin color. Per my early childhood education, this is the exact opposite of the color blind society envisioned by MLK.

And you lecture us about the ills of the GOP. GTFO.

Steve King's history of racist commentary started long before the events that finally took him down. There wasn't anything instant about it.

Y'all keep bringing up Antifa. I have never heard an elected democrat state support for Antifa. Feel free to share any statements of support I may have missed along the way.

How about MTG speaking at a white nationalist rally last night (see my post above)? The same rally Paul Gosar attended last year? Do you think Kevin McCarthy or other republicans will condemn her or stay silent?

Can’t speak about MTG attending an event last night. Don’t know anything of it. But, Jerry Nadler denied Antifa exists. Other Dems have said the same.

Like you enjoy saying about people on the right not condemning supremacists. Which is a msm fallacy. Very few dem’s condemned what antifa was doing if any. All the occupy stuff. Now I love seeing Minnesota ask for money. I think they should be left on their own. If they asked for help to stop things, I would feel differently. But they didn’t. So they should eat every penny.

Did you read that link will? Biden wrote a letter. Lol. Didn’t address the public. After day five. In the middle of a time when he could have had a camera in front of him in five minute. The other dem has never been heard from since. Oh yea, I forgot they mentioned the mayor of a town run over by antifa and occupied. He managed to condemn that after it happened. Surprised they didn’t dig up a county commissioner dem from Morgan county who was caught on tape accidentally condemning it. That was weak. I knew there was one I could remember. They found him. Haha. That is why I said few if any. I appreciate the link to help make my point. Thank god for Biden and that letter. Lol

Ok, for the sake of this discussion let’s agree that the democratic leadership should have been more vocal in their criticism of any mob violence.

Any comment on MTG (last night) and some other prominent republicans hanging out with this guy?

I don’t even know who that guy is. Promise you there are tons of videos just like it in the other direction. If they are hanging out with him, their time will be up soon too. That is how it has worked. When you guys do it, they get promoted.

He has a hard-on for MTG for some reason. It's weird how often an "Independent" would criticize her, but not anti-Semites like Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.

I know. I don’t get it. They elected a white nationalist. Biden has been more racist than Marjorie ever thought about being. That is the funny part. If you look back in his history, Biden was a complete bigot. Obama needed a lily white running mate with an extremely moderate history. Obama chose joe and half the population got some weird form of amnesia. His own vp called him a horrible racist. How is that for some f’ed up amnesia. Totally forgotten.

No, the people in Majorie’s district elected a white nationalist. And they probably will elect her again. You can’t compare her and Joe Biden. She’s a horrible person.

Truth hurts. And joe is a career politician. He is possibly one of the worst people on the planet. As all career politicians are.

It doesn’t get much more sadistic than this. I know she took real pleasure in harassing a survivor of a mass school shooting. She’s representing the people in her district very well.

Oh yeah, Biden's been a racist for as long as he's been in office, but he had to hide it for awhile because Delaware was a fairly moderate state for decades. After all, for nearly 30 years alongside Biden, Delaware was represented in the Senate by William Roth, one of the best Senators in modern times.

Even so, you'd get overt racist comments from him, like not wanting his kids to grow up in a "racial jungle", as he called it. And of course, every Black American who did not vote for him this past election isn't really black, according to him.

But as the Democrat party has become more authoritarian and extremist, he's adjusted quite nicely to it. There really aren't many moderate Democrats in Congress anymore. I can think of countless Republicans who aren't conservative, but how many pro-life Democrats are there? What about Blue Dog Democrats?

Once again, that tag on her is made-up. You liberals are pros at doing that. It isn't misinformation, it is lying! One of the new ones you leftists have floated is that Republicans like Putin and Communists. Just the opposite because communism is completely counter to the desire for liberty. Now, repeat after me, "the people in Marjorie's district elected Marjorie (correct spelling)." Continue repeating that and you will have it right. Stop putting your tag on her and others.

That’s not a made up tag. Im strictly going off of her actions and words since she’s become a political figure. And it’s text book white nationalism.
And your Republican leader was singing Russian praises last week prior to the invasion of Ukraine. He even went so far as calling Putin a genius. Tucker Carlson also wanted to interview the Russian tyrant. I wonder how the invasion is working out for Russia now? I mean everyone on the right was so quick to call Biden weak, I guess they forgot to condemn the Russian invasion? If you want to see weakness look no further than 45. He’s been bending over for the Russians for a very long time.

If what you are saying is true, she shouldn’t have done it and I condemn it.

Are you prepared to condemn BLM? Are you prepared to condemn Rashida Talib and The Squad for their racist and anti-Semitic statements? Are you prepared to condemn Biden and the Dems for reversing MLK’s colorblind vision?

No need to condemn BLM. Thanks to them police departments are now being held accountable for their heavy handed approach in policing poor urban communities. If you want to blame them for the riots then you are giving the organization too much credit. Rioting is a result of raw emotions. Riots have always occurred when people have witnessed crimes the police have committed to people of color. This goes back to the 60s before BLM was even thought about. If anything BLM tries to rally those people in and organize them to stop the rioting and looting. But you right wingers, in an attempt to stop their messaging, have tried to label them as the cause of the riots. The cause of the rioting and looting was when the world watched the police kneel on a man’s neck for 9 minutes while he screamed and called to his dead mother prior to his death.

Rashida Tlaib is a Palestinian-American. I don’t even know what comments you are referring to? If you understood the history between Palestinian and Israelis, you would know they have always been caught up in a religious war over the holy land. What were her racist remarks?

If MLK was here today he would be called a Marxist and communist like when he was alive. Republicans politically ideology definitely does not align with MLK’s. The same attacks that you guys like to throw out at Dem’s today, are the same ones hurled at MLK and other civil rights leaders 70 years ago. I’ve seen your posts on here and it’s very anti MLK.
