had a lot of free time to think about things while blowing leaves off yard for 3 hours Saturday and 3 hours Sunday.
As of the signing of the two 2016 guards, we now have what I would call 7 players who have the athletic ability/size to possibly attain NBA draft status:
Crump
Harris
Jackson
Edwards
Willridge
Ogbeide
Maten
It's the other six scholarship slots that we need to fill with these same caliber athletes. That is what is setting us behind most of our opponents at the SEC level and during March Madness. There is no quality depth if Ogbeide is out with an injury or Parker is still injuried or Gaines/Mann get in foul trouble. Don't get me wrong, I love JJ's game and the others try hard, but there is a severe drop-off if a starter goes down.
After we sign one or two bigs in the Spring and hopefully add three or four highly rated 2017 players, our roster will be as talented as any in our league (excluding UK and L$U). Then CMF & staff will not be at a disadvantage personnel-wise and can really try to coach them up. The future looks bright!
