I’m curious how many of you guys have been to multiple SEC stadiums to experience their pregame/in game routine. It’s easy to pick the moment a big event occurs (like enter Sandman at SC) and show that on the screen or tv. But I’ve been to every stadium minus A&M and Missouri. It seems to me almost every pregame has its “down” moments that are still special to the home team. Alabama has a significant band role as does Tennessee and Florida (in the swamp).
I’m not saying we don’t have room for improvement. The WiFi specifically and the info for other games on the screen as well as game stats and replay.
But have you seen our student section blow up when Baba O plays? They go crazy and the whole stadium is jumping around. The spell Georgia cheer is a downer when the crowd is slim. But when it’s a night game or big home game the participation is outstanding. Alabama does a similar thing as does LSU (not spelling but a crowd cheer). How do their pregame crowds respond when it’s 100* heat and a lesser opponent?
We have room for improvement. But in my opinion our pregame experience is a long way from the poor experience I see described. Visitors to Sanford stadium commonly tell me it was an awesome experience.
Fix the wifi. Add information to the in game from other games. Add tvs in restrooms and more in the concourses. Fix the dang replay !!!!!
We don’t need to recreate the wheel.
Just my opinion. Go Dawgs!
