Real Reason UGA is Keeping Richt on..

in any role has nothing to do with helping collect funds from boosters for a capital expenditure or anything to do with promoting/running any faith based initiatives. It's all about having him help lockdown their 2016 recruiting class. Would be willing to bet that his time as a consultant for the team ends before or about August 2016 once all recruits are on campus.

Would expect that from the brass and boosters, but doesnt Saint Richt's bible teachings go against lying and misleading someone for your own gain? Would have had a lot more respect for Richt if he would have told the UGA brass to go screw themselves in regards to staying on in any fashion after they fired him.

I get the feeling Richt and his family are settled in Athens and they don't want to move. Richt also seems like he's tired. I do get the feeling he won't have much interest in building another program somewhere and is happy to be involved in Athens and UGA. Time will tell if I'm right or completely wrong.

I agree. I think he wants to stay with the program in some capacity and we are damn lucky to have him.
