Granted it took a little longer than usual but I can see the annual June meltdown about recruiting has arrived. All of this because we missed on a DT most posters on here hadn’t heard of a week ago and because an OL target doesn’t have us listed in his top 3 (despite multiple recruiting insiders saying we are still very much involved).
So I thought it would be a good time to revisit what all has happened in Georgia recruiting just in the last 30 days:
- Commitments from two 4* TE including one ranked as the #112 best player in the country (Reddell)
- Commitment from in-state 4* DL and #117 player in the country, Justin Greene
- Flipped the #61 ranked player (Chauncey Bowens) from our arch rival at a position of need (RB)
- Landed the commitment of 6’6 325 lb DL Jordan Thomas (4* on Rivals and top 125 player on every other site in the industry)
- Have gained major momentum to become the prohibitive favorite with #80 ranked DE/5T, Joseph Jonah-Ajonye who will be on-campus for an OV this weekend
- Well positioned with top targets KJ Bolden, Justin Williams, Justin Scott, Aydin Breland, Nate Frazier, Daniel Calhoun and Nyier Daniels heading into likely commitments in the next 1-2 months
Oh and one last thing, we still have the #1 ranked recruiting class already at 2688 points despite only 19 commits. This would have been good enough for the #5 ranked class in the country last year even if we don’t land another commitment.
