According to my source, McGarity says Richt is done at the end of the season...for whatever that is worth?

McGarity wouldn't be running his mouth, even if he had made that decision, which I doubt he has.
To make it even less likely, he would make that decision in conference with others, there hasn't been enough time for such matters to have played out since Saturday night.

I have as much inside information as a house fly in Yonkers but it appears something has been in the works for a time. MR demeanor and approach are different IMO. Which opinion, as I have stated is meaningless.

So with top qbs already committed be prepared for another tough two years if this happens. Don't expect to see what happened at Florida. And we have no running backs or wrs either. We were looking for top recruits to fill these gaps. Competition with multiple programs for a head coach will drag out close to signing day and our class will reflect this uncertainty. Their is just no easy fix

It appears to Me things have taken a bad turn, but it sure wasn't planned.

We have a top RB committed and Chubb will likely play next season.
The roster is in very good shape overall going forward.
The right coach should be able to win right away. QB is the only big concern, if Richt goes, Eason doesn't sign with Us.

Don't know about that, but I know Schotty is done. Take that to the bank. I think CMR buys himself another year once he fires Schotty

Shotty will have to throw out his new Ga visors and shirts then

I hope McGarity and others force Richt to fire Schotty if necessary. Listening to Richt talk about having ''the ingredients'' needed I think He's in a Martinez like state of cluelessness. I put in my 2 cents worth to The AD's office today, I hope many others do as well.
It is just possible the right OC could fix our worst problems, but I sure wont count on it.

I am glad you voiced that. I'd hate to think McGarity is sitting in his bunker calling shots out. This is a situation that requires more gravity than what was put into the OC hire.

It's a very good source. We shall see. He's on a first name basis with heavy weight Hartman fundraisers. We shall see.

I couldn't believe he told me. He's not that kind of guy. Big money is embarrassed and pissed.

It's about freakin time!

What a time for McGarity and the rest of the AD. I think they should have announced Shottenheimer's departure today, but that's not the Georgia way. That would at least hit the reset button on the offense 2/3 of the way into the season. I seem to remember Dooley going with the significant improvement speech before the 95 season. Ironically Goff's last 2 seasons ended with embarrassing losses to Florida. I wonder if 4 wins to end the season can save his job?

There is no way to know if that is true or not, especially given what his father told 247Sports:

Two things are dominating the boards right now in the Georgia Bulldogs market. What is going on with Mark Richt and what is the commitment status of Jacob Eason?

Dawgs247 talked with his father,Tony and this was his response on Jacob and Georgia on Sunday.

"He looks at it as an opportunity," said Tony Eason.

"He has already developed a brotherhood with committed guys and guys that have privately told him they are coming. The boys are coming together to help right the ship. Its not about coaches or rankings. Its about a group of top recruits that love the Dawgs and want to play together."

Eason's son is currently ranked as the Nation's Top QB prospect and has been verbally committed to UGA for over a year and half now.

Regardless, what Eason does shouldn't factor into any decision regarding CMR.

I have a very reliable inside source that says Richt is moving on to become a televangelist and John Gruden is coming in. Can't say who it is but let's just say first name starts with "Vinc" and last name ends in "ooley". Take it to the bank.

He's a dead man. Deal with it.

Yep, It's pretty much a death march at this point. The only question is when? The financial side and contracts will be the determining factor.

The only reasons left on the table to play for are:
1) Pride/ NFL opportunity
2) Coaches job
3) recruits
4) shitty bowl

All of the team goals are in the crapper

There is a lot of pure speculation posing as info in this thread.
I'm not saying the posters are making it up, but somebody along the line has tossed around some BS.
Nobody inside the program has told anybody Richt will be fired or he'll quit at the end of this season.
Of course it may come to that, but it's speculation at this point.

Yes, Vinck Stooley has confirmed Coach Richt is shopping for a jet and a good hair stylist, that can only mean one thing, he is being called to the tube to preach.

Doubtful Chubb plays. And two words to remember when thinking Holyfield is the answer.....Caleb King

Holyfield is nothing like King. He is an extremely tough, strong and determined runner. He also makes powerful cuts similar to how Knowshon did it in college.

Correction, turns out that old guy that told me that isn't Vince Dooley just someone else making stuff up.
Richt is going nowhere this year unless he retires. Not saying I support that

The problem is we are putting our hopes in kids that haven't even stepped foot on campus and a kid who will be returning from a very serious injury.

Holyfield had a small stress fracture in a foot, he is already back from it.
I don't think anybody is putting the weight of the program on EH's shoulders though, we have other backs.
