Richt needs to name Coach Lilly Co-OC and let him call the plays..

He did an excellent job in The Belk Bowl.
I think it's our best chance to finish strong and it would signal CMR isn't completely clueless to Schotty's ineptitude.

I don't see how Richt can be allowed to bring CBS back next season. The combination of Richt and Schotty is toxic in it's ineffectiveness.
I think if Richt is to survive at UGA he has to start by acknowledging his mistake in hiring CBS. He also needs to forget about his marriage to the pro-style and hire the best OC regardless of what offense they run.
I think Coach Cumbie at TCU would be a great hire and he should fit like a glove culturally with CMR.

What is the co-OC crap? Send Schottenheimer packing and make him the OC if we're not getting rid of Richt.

I mean make Lilly Co-OC...now. Richt wont be so crass as to fire Schotty in mid-season. After the season either make Lilly the permanent OC or bring in the very best OC we can lure, regardless of the offensive system he runs.

Richt needs to look at what Coach Patterson has accomplished since changing from a pro-style.
It's not because a pro-style can't be successful with the right coaches, there just aren't many, if any, great OCs running P-S these days. All of the great young offensive coaches are running some type of spread.
As I stated before. Coach Cumbie at TCU would be a perfect fit for Richt. They have the same values and even similar wits.

When he came, he said he promised Kathryn one job, 15 yrs. Didn't want to be moving around, wanted kids to have city to call home with life long friends, and retire young enough for he & Kathryn to enjoy life post kids.

He's there.

As for Lilly, wanted him as OC when Bobo left. Not sure WHY CMR didn't promote long time loyal staff member after he proved himself.

If he does step away...he leaves the program full...not like Fulmer, DDooley, Goff, Shula, Spurrier, etc...Ole Miss, Miss St, had to build also...a new coach with a fresh set of offensive ideas with the talent that is on the sidelines could elevate the level of intensity at least...just gotta find the right fit...

Agree 100 percent! I just hope if he does leave, the new coach will keep Brown and BMac, huge recruiters.

Almost everybody wanted ''to make a splash'' with the OC hire.
I looked Schotty's record and questioned the choice.

Oddly Richt has never rewarded loyal offensive coaches. Bobo was never paid compensate to his contributions, even after Grantham got the big bucks CMB was paid a fraction what The DC made.
