Rewatching the G-Day game and while Richt was in the booth during the 3rd quarter a question came up to summarize each QB (Brice Ramsey, Faton Bauta, and Jacob Park). Regarding Brice Ramsey, "Brice got good height. He's a good athlete. He's not a guy you put a lot of QB run in for, but he can get himself out of trouble." Faton is "a guy that I think if he broke out in the open, he'd be more apt to try to run a linebacker over. He's got that firey mentality." When it came to Jacob Park he had to say the following: "outstanding arm talent, very good athlete, still learning how to play quarterback at the college level. I'd say for him this summer is so crucial for him to really get a total comfort level of what we're doing. Then he can come back in the fall and really be a legitimate contender."

I'm not trying to beat a dead horse, but that says everything you need to know about the Jacob Park saga. As we entered the summer, despite being talented, Jacob Park was more than likely not a legitimate option at QB to start. Pair the relatively positive comments regarding Ramsey and Bauta with the excitement that has been reported from the coaches when Greyson Lambert committed (prior to Park's departure) and I truly believe that the coaches are at peace with ANY of the options available, but frankly don't know enough to settle on one at this point.

Is this reading too much into one 60 second sound-bite? Probably. But SEC Media Days just wrapped up and we're still 7 weeks away from kickoff, so we have posts like this one. Go Dawgs.
