Petitti did a much better job of expansion when you consider the parity NIL has brought. Their top teams can avoid the brutal schedules the SEC faced last yea, this season an and moving forward if the 9 game conference schedules is implemented.
The SEC needs some name brand teams that can soften the scheduling but have brand names. UCLA, USC and Washington are great examples of this in the Big10.
I would love to see the SEC add schools like UNC, Clemson, FL State, VA Tech to keep their top teams fresher. What UGA had to endure last year was too much.
If the ACC teams are truly locked in, perhaps consider several of these teams
USF/UCF both stadiums are big enough
TCU, Texas Tech, Houston
Others, not ideal: Boise State, Oregon State, Washington State
NIL has been swift in the changing the CFB landscape, I imagine Sankey would have taken multiple ACC teams if the lawsuit wasn’t an obstacle. Regardless, I think the SEC teams are at a disadvantage now and he should have added more of a buffer like the B10.
