I think some enterprising scams are out there about books. My elderly aunt and I have received multiple solicitations where this person/outlet offered to write a book about her or my life. You can tell it is not personalized, and they just stick your name in the greeting. It is likely based on a LinkedIn profile. Or AARP membership. My guess is there is a fee, and they disappear after you pay, or they actually just feed the details you send into ChatGPT and spit out something. But then you get to claim you wrote a book or had one written about you. Sort of like Who's Who in high school.
Anyway, just be aware if you have elderly parents. The idea of an autobiography to pass down seems great. Especially one with little to no work on your part. And if it seems too good to be true and it is playing on your love for your kids and grandkids? Well, that makes me suspicious.
