The better question is what part of this is actually true, and what is the context of what actually happened?
I applied for my SS benefits on my laptop. I never talked to anyone and never needed to do so. Doing it by phone sounds antiquated and rife with potential fraud.
I'm assuming this is a serious question, and you are unfamiliar with what is going on, correct? Each location being "closed" is a single room located within a Social Security office. The purpose of the room was to conduct hearings, which rarely if ever occurred. They are not needed and are a huge waste of money. That is the sum total of what is being closed. No Social Security office is being closed. Nobody's money is being cut.

They have earned no trust, and Elon has stated clearly that the only way to get government expenditures under control is to target SS and Medicare.

I just find it funny you are backing numbers from any source these days. What are the odds this person is right? He is covering his ass. If he turns out to be right and 89000 DESERVING people over age 100 are receiving benefits I will come eat crow. I think the millions claimed by musk and trump are ridiculous numbers as well, but I have learned my lesson with responses like that. I already know Trump is a showman and is prone to exaggeration. I treat any thing he shares with that possibility. After four years of bs numbers being thrown out there by the left call me incredibly skeptical. If they were ever right. Just once. Dudek was appointed by Trump. His history is with ss. He wasn’t an outsider appointed. That made him look bad as well. I read the article and from what I could tell, the system is so screwed up and outdated that they are figuring this out as they go. Anyone with a brain knows that no administration is going to cut Social Security and Medicaid. But when the Dems are losing on every issue , all they have is to make noise.

What he says here are lies. You can try and classify them as something else, but he is claiming that there are millions of people over the age of 120 receiving checks when there are less the 90,000 over the age of 100 receiving checks. If there is some fraud in the 89,000, it in no way justifies his outrageous claims.
