I know we've had a lot of coaches move on to other jobs or into other roles (analyst, etc.)- including some that were likely "encouraged" to find alternative employment- but I'm racking my brain trying to think of any assistant coaches that were outright actually fired by Kirby. Jim Chaney was hired away by Tennessee after the 2018 season, even though it was generally accepted as fact that he would have been let go had he not left "on his own". His OC successor, James Coley, was "demoted", but not fired, after the 2019 season before he left for Texas A&M. @Anthony Dasher and others, please feel free to remind me if I'm just forgetting anyone.
Where I'm going with this is that maybe we're all just expecting too much from Kirby in terms of him actually firing Searels, Bobo, Donte Williams, or anyone else.
