I get it. Texas and Arkansas might be the two best staffs we face this season. I also know that a power-oriented team like us is gonna strike out a lot.
That being said, I think it’s concerning how much we are striking out. And it’s not just that we are striking out, it’s that we are striking out in 3-4 pitches. If we were striking out because guys were having 6-7 pitch ABs where they are fouling stuff off until they get a meatball, I could live with it. But that’s not the case. I’d say we had over 20 at bats this weekend where we didn’t even make contact.
I’m really glad we won yesterday, but I honestly can’t believe we did. We looked entirely lost for all but 2 ABs after the 7th inning. Luckily both those ABs led to game tying and winning runs.
