Since the parade and celebration, it has been a tough week. Somewhat tired of everyone trashing these kids that have given us back to back championships. Are you kidding me? Norton, Mitchell, Blaylock, Gilbert, and anyone else who left earlier than expected to pursue their dreams elsewhere sacrificed while at UGA and will always be DGDs. One would hope that all UGA fans would respect and appreciate their efforts - big or small. I believe most do and represent the silent majority. Regardless, please leave those currently exiting alone as they make real life decisions that are best for them. How many of us would not consider a big payday for taking a new job? So, stop the hypocrisy and wish them well (as long as they are not playing UGA). If you can’t do that, is it so hard to be neutral instead of being selfish, insensitive, or obnoxious?
The Dawgvent rules that state:
“DGD is “Damn Good Dawg,” a traditional compliment of the highest order. All former players are DGDs …”
If you can’t follow this simple rule, look in the mirror to see someone who is not a DGD. DGDs don’t hate on other Dawgs.
PS: If SVP leaves early, tip your cap to that man. He has earned it.
