The Dems have to get back to the center of course. They have get away from being the Hollywood elite party that they became under Obama.

The biggest question is can they get back the union blue collar middle America worker. Can the GOP keep them post Trump?

If they are going to continue to neglect the working American and focusing on making sure men can pee in a women's bathroom, they are going to continue to shit the bed.

Shapiro could be that guy, but I can't see that Dems nominating a Jewish candidate.

Also, for both parties the best candidate seems to be the one who comes out of nowhere instead of the candidates whos "turn" it is. It was supposed to be Hillary's turn in 08, and Obama came out of nowhere to win. But it was McCain's turn. And then in 12 it was Romney's turn and in 16 it was Hillary's turn for the dems again and Trump came out of nowhere...

The Democratic Party leadership is guilty of their own hubris. They think they're smarter than everyone else and they look at Trump voters as idiots and try to figure out how to mold them into progressives that think like them.

I think the Dems are tied to wholeness and DEI, etc. I don’t think they can/ will ditch it.

So, they have to overcome it.

It’s not always roses when you control the Presidency, house, and Senate. You don’t have anyone to blame if stuff goes bad. Republicans have had this before in the last 20 years and it wasn’t always great.

This is true but for me personally I want merit based immigration- if they will benefit America. That means also do not sow social and cultural divide and help the economy. Bring in smart immigrants who want to assimilate into American culture.
