I'm starting to even annoy myself with how often I'm saying this, but man this league is just silly. Can't wait for our game tomorrow more than anything, but also super pumped to have a bunch of great SEC hoops to watch tonight. Passing the time here waiting to get a haircut, figured I'd make some predictions on these games - join in!
#15 Mississippi State @ #1 Auburn - Auburn -7.5 - Probably the most interesting game of the night, to me. The news of the week as obviously been Broome's injury, but I think Moo U has really been missing Clary in the backcourt since SEC play started. I still think this MSU team could be in that top tier of the SEC, think they are a real final four contender. I'll take Auburn to hit enough shots here at home to get it done 80-74.
#21 Ole Miss @ #4 Alabama - Bama -12.5 - Hard game to predict. All indications point to Beard having a legitimate defense once again, but it's a bit hard to tell given they've played a few of the worst offenses in the league (statistically) in their first three games. But Bama has been living and dying by hitting threes this year, and they've been inconsistent. Still think they win comfortably here, 91-75.
#11 Texas A&M @ #8 Kentucky - Kentucky -6.5 - Wade Taylor still out, I am all over the Cats here. Other than their game against us, they have looked borderline unstoppable offensively lately against some really good teams, and they're back at Rupp tonight. Quick turnaround for A&M too coming off a tough loss to Bama. Kentucky wins 94-84.
Missouri @ #5 Florida - Florida -10.5 - I admittedly haven't had a ton of eyes on Mizzou over the past couple of weeks, but I'm not sure I'll pick against Florida in Gainesville a single time this year. UF 88 Mizzou 68.
Arkansas @ LSU - ARK -1.5 - Cal and his guys are due for one and this LSU team is kinda... bad... after loosing Reed. Arkansas wins 77-64.
What say you guys?
