I waited to post this so I wouldn't be as mad. But for the past 2 years, give me a single example where you saw Carson Beck acting like a leader on the field or the sideline, picking up his teammates when we are losing, talking to his OL when he needs them to be better, etc. All I've seen out of Beck for 2 years is a timid player who just sits on the bench away from the team and sulks when he does bad and doesn't even show that much emotion when he does good.
Last year Beck was bailed out by 2 prodigies in Bowers and Ladd and to a lesser extent Rosemy-Jacksaint.
Beck absolutely has a problem with throwing the ball behind his receivers and this has led to multiple crucial drops or incomplete passes.
Tonight our OL got son'ed by Ole Miss DL like we were playing UGA 2021 DL. It wasn't even close. Tonight wasn't 100% on Beck but he definitely didn't help us much at all. We barely threw the ball the entire first half because Bobo knows Carson is going to throw more INTs and Carson knows he's gonna throw INTs so he runs to his check down very quick.
It shouldn't take the will of god for our offense to do ANYTHING easily. It's feels like every thing we do on offense is DIFFICULT. Meanwhile, Ole Miss backup QB comes in and slices and dices our defense like it was nothing. That's SCHEME. 80% of the Passes completed today by Ole Miss were to WRs that were WIDE OPEN by SCHEME. When is the last time our WR's weren't blanketed by a DB having to fight for his life to catch the ball. It's like we're playing bully ball on offense with personnel who can't keep up with the pace we're demanding. That's an OC problem.
At this point this is a rant, so while I'm at it. 98.9% of the snaps where Cash Jones is at RB is a pass play. If I know it, the DEFENSE definitely knows it. Beck and our offense is so inept that we are forced to use horizontal passing games over vertical. When we're throwing a screen and the WR gets blown up within .2 milliseconds of catching the ball, you're PROBABLY PREDICTABLE.
We need a COMPLETE PERSONNEL OVERHAUL on offense.
Don't even get me started on the OL. The guards weren't THAT bad but the OTs are absolutely abysmal. There are some players I literally CANNOT WAIT to leave the team so someone else can take over.
I'll leave you with this, someone please tell me Beck ISNT checked out of this team.
