… aside from the tragic deaths affecting the UGA football program, I am seeing more and more deaths from street racing in the press - usually someone innocent at a traffic light . Anecdotally, I’m seeing much more of it on the interstates and secondary roads in Atlanta. I was talking to a police officer today and he said it is an epidemic - he said the fast and the furious movies really ignited things. I pray for family every time i see this crazy driving. I know Texas passed a law where street racing is a felony. What is the answer? As the cop said … young, male, and stupid. It is really heartbreaking the loss of life. .
