Kept my mouth shut. Asked him about the Vols and what he thought their season was going to be like. He also pulls for Michigan as his wife is from there. Says the Vols are on their way to be the best in the SEC…but thinks Michigan is hands down the best team and will win it all. Talked about RBs and OL, etc. I never said a word…but my wife piped in and said to him “you’re talking to the wrong guy. He’s not saying anything but he’s dying too. He’s a Georgia fan!”
The guy smirked and said we were done. We lost “everybody” and our time was over. I didnt take the bait, just said I’d happily take the bet right now…he didn’t want to.
We ended with his wife blasting the Orange of the Vols vs the Maize and Blue of Michigan. I said the orange was actually good because you can go to a game then go hunting in the woods straightaway. He laughed and agreed.
Then he said it’s “better than Red and Black…what can you do with those colors?”
I responded: “Lift trophies”
Tried to get his number to finalize the bet…but he left in a hurry. Wonder why?
