Can someone help me understand the Tennessee hype? They were 7-6 last year. If you remove their 3 wins against Bowling Green, Tennessee Tech and South Alabama, and look at the remaining 4 wins. 2 of those came against teams with a losing record, Missouri (6-7) and Vanderbilt (2-10). The remaining 2 wins were against South Carolina (7-6) and Kentucky (10-3). That is 1 quaility victory last year. Maybe they have been killing it in recruiting?
2022: Team Ranking - 13, Average Star - 3.27, Total Points - 1982
2021: Team Ranking - 35, Average Star - 3.27, Total Points - 1427
2020: Team Ranking - 8, Average Star - 3.61, Total Points - 2380
2019: Team Ranking - 13, Average Star - 3.61, Total Points - 2319
Recruiting seems pretty average, and certanily not on our level. Are we supposed to assume because they are in year 2 under a new coach, there with be momumental improvement? Can someone explain this to me like I am 5? As my boss likes to say when we are building our budget for the next year, "Hope is not a stragety".
