Rumor: Texas has a real shot with 5-star LB Tyler Atkinson

The nation’s top-ranked LB, Tyler Atkinson, will take a Texas official visit this weekend. Are we predicting Texas is going to land the Loganville (GA) Grayson product? We’re not going that far, but the Longhorns absolutely do have a legitimate shot in this one. We’re told Atkinson has spent most of his summer in the Austin area – basically only leaving when he’s taken other OVs – and there are some connections with Texas linebacker Anthony Hill that could help the Longhorns behind the scenes. Georgia will be tough to beat, but Texas is definitely trending up in this one.
