...and removed all the "normal" anticipation I'd hold for a game like this. I thought it was the B2B, but no. At this point in the season, there is no real consequence to this game (for me and my own personal emotional investment).
It's effectively the NFL equivalent of a big MNF matchup early in the season. Exciting, maybe enlightening on the state of the team...but, no real consequence for the loser if they continue to win. Even 1 more loss doesn't necessarily sink anything.
I hate it. I'll be excited tomorrow at kickoff and cheer as loud as anybody. But, I've been robbed of what I used to have and love/hate.
