It's reported only 3 people are at the table when defensive game plans are developed at Bama, Saban, Kirby and Schulman. He is one of Saban's 2 ''secret weapons'', the other is Cochran, here's hoping he signs on as well.
If anybody can find a bio on Schuman, please post it.

Yes It is he and Cochran are the most underrated coaches on that staff and both are coming to Athens. Would not be shocked if Saban retires or moves to the nfl

Only that He's from Valdosta. If Kirby keeps Pruitt and His staff, We'll have 3 coaches who held the same position under Kirby, Schumann, Pruitt and Sherrer.

Yea I think we get Cochran to I'm thinking we keep Pruitt and sherrer the line backer coach.

I come in peace as a Bama fan to congratulate you on what most all Bama fans believe to be a grand slam hire. Kirby Smart is one fine coach, and second to nobody at recruiting. Contrary to what some outsiders think, Kirby does run the Bama D and has for many years now. Saban, as any HC would be, is involved, but this has long been Kirby's defense.

A final comment is Scott Cochran. You Bulldog fans are in for a treat. This guy will be heard on game days screaming all over the county and he just knows how to pump the players, and crowd. Eighty plus year old women start dancing in the stands watching him. My comments about Smart and Cochran are in no way meant to disrespect Richt and/or your current strength coach. But these two young coaches are simply a couple of the best in the business. Unfortunately for we Bama fans, the Bulldogs will be very difficult to keep out
of Atlanta. Congratulations !!

Kirby was asked a few minutes ago whether there have been any restrictions placed on Him as far as who he could hire.
He quickly said ''absolutely not'' but He went on to say it is important he gets HIS STAFF AND HIS COACHES in place. It seemed to Me he doesn't plan on keeping the current defensive coaching staff.

I won't be shocked if Glenn Schumann is His choice for DC.
