fault. WRs are taught that on short routes like curls, hooks, sideline routes, they MUST come back to meet the ball. This has to be done because the DB is closing on the ball and will overtake the receiver and make the interception if the receiver does not come back to meet the ball. MRJ (#1) failed to come back and meet the ball. The DB closed on the ball, overtook MRJ and made the interception. This is a teaching point I’m sure Coach McLendon has covered 100 times with our WRs, and you’d better believe he will be holding MRJ’s feet to the fire this week in practice.
