Bobo and Beck. We had a grand opportunity when Monken left to go out and hire the best offensive mind out there. What do we do? We hire a re-tread who was fired from his 3 previous gigs and has never won anything of significance. This is mike Bobo's offense, period. Kirby hired him to coordinate the offensive side of the ball and score points. He and his offenses are Fossils. Just absolutely mind boggling he and Searles are back on this staff.
Beck- NEVER understood the fascination with Carson Beck and have said he was fools gold from day one. Can someone tell me what has he EVER done as a player to make you say" Now THAT is a first round draft pick"! We played one really good team last year, Bama, and he was exposed and he has been exposed this year for what he is. And the sad part is the backup is so bad he is our only option. Football savants like @AgrayDAWG will tell you he is a first round talent, i call bullshat.
Kirby has obviously done alot of great things but the management of the QB room isnt one of them. We recruited a kid who has been starting and playing in the NFL and had him sitting on the bench behind a guy who is not playing on sundays now. If his skill set doesnt match your offensive philophy, then dont recruit him. The irony here is that we won two back to back Nattys with a QB that was told numerous times by the coaches he would never play here, and going back to Smallwoods question , i think the reason Kirby stayed in Sets ass is because he gave them no other choice but to play him, thats why Set has always had a big chip on his shoulder.
Not to offend anyone, and who knows, Pugs may be different, but it fits the typical, historical UGA QB look. I am so tired of the 6'2, white dropback passers with little to no ability to use their legs,
