At least he’s got some new material. Not the same recycled, unfulfilled platitudes parroted for a generation or two. Not saying he ever will, but he’s had only two years to get it right. Decades and lifetimes of lullabies from DC’s “most enlightened” and gifted. Who do we blame (if it matters) for our most common problems also being our most enduring societal ills. Homelessness. Drug addiction. Gang violence. Human trafficking. Broken homes. Public school system that 40-50 years back ranked #1 globally now does well to stay in the top 25 among leading nations. And we trip over pragmatism and goal setting and performance based credits to accept mediocrity (sound familiar?) under the guise of seeking equality of results. Beautiful. Trophies for everyone! Yay us! We’re champions of life.
